Mission

Our association is dedicated to a nonprofit mission, ensuring that any financial benefits are allocated solely towards achieving its nonprofit goals. These goals include:

  • Advancing scientific research in renal physiology, pathophysiology, and pathology.
  • Facilitating the exchange and application of knowledge derived from this research in diagnosing and treating renal conditions.
  • Engaging in activities like scientific research, knowledge exchange, and developing guidelines for new treatments.
  • Serving as a scientific dialogue partner on nephrology with government bodies.
  • Hosting scientific meetings for nephrologists, including the annual State of the Art meeting.
  • Offering postgraduate education in nephrology through the Belgian Core Curriculum Course.

While activities are primarily managed internally, collaborations with international nephrology associations with similar interests are also pursued. The association is empowered to undertake actions necessary to fulfill its mission, ensuring all revenues support its nonprofit objectives and comply with its mission-driven activities, as per relevant regulations.
